The Matamata Golf Club actively encourages junior golfers and provides:

• reduced fees for full juniors under 21 years of age ($140)
• a special fee for learning juniors ($85)
• holiday activities
• use of special golf equipment - no charge

MGC Junior Golf Programme

Aim : To increase the participation of young people, in golf, in a non-threatening environment

Where : Matamata Golf Club

When : Saturdays at 2pm

How Much : The junior programme is free, but we have junior membership options that start at $80 per year. We also have family membership options to minimise the cost. We will also supply playing equipment to start you off.

What can you expect : To be able to play different formats of the game alongside other young people from varying levels of experience (from beginner to playing). Have fun while playing the game, and receive support and instruction when required. Feel free to bring your Mum or Dad along to join in.
We hope that this experience will help you take golf as an option for exercise, enjoyment and competition. We have junior tee blocks to provide a level playing field.
You can become a member of the club and participate in club events, as well as joining other young golfers throughout the Waikato, on a regular basis.
We also provide a structured, week long, coaching programme during April and September school holidays.
